Is atheism about reality? January 2025
The problem is not that we're all about to die January 2025

My hope for 2025 is to introduce a set of new ideas into conversations about the nature of reality. But the ideas I aim to share are not properly about reality; they are about what reality is not like.

How is that even interesting?

My argument begins with a belief - that reality is profoundly free. From there I develop an argument that there is no feature of the physical world A such that A=A. I.e., self-identity (or "reflexivity") is not a property of the physical world. I call this claim the unreality of logic and interpret it physically as a form of ontic vagueness with qualities that have real-world implications. Perhaps most controversially: the claim that reality is fundamentally amathematical such that any mathematical statement about reality ought to fail if we can take sufficiently precise measurements.
